17-Year-Old Belleville Student Charged After Alleged Knife-Point Robbery Over Pizza

A 17-year-old Belleville female is facing charges after police responded to a weapons incident involving students in the city’s east end yesterday.


According to information released by Belleville Police, officers were called on May 20th at approximately 12:45 p.m. after receiving a report of a weapons incident connected to an east end secondary school.


Police say a student allegedly approached another student and demanded their pizza while brandishing a knife.


Following an investigation, the 17-year-old was arrested and charged with robbery with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.


She was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in July.


Belleville Police have not reported any injuries or the school in connected with the incident.


The name of the accused has not been released, as her identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
