Active Investigation: Peterborough Police Searching for Four Youths Following Fatal Stabbing 🚨

The Peterborough Police Service has launched an active investigation following the death of a 25-year-old local resident early Saturday morning.
At approximately 2:00 a.m., officers were called to a parking lot in the area of Monaghan Road and Cameron Street after reports of a violent altercation. Upon arrival, police learned that the victim and a friend had been confronted by a group of five youths. During the encounter, the victim was stabbed, and the group fled the scene on foot.
The victim was transported to Peterborough Regional Health Centre, where he later died from his injuries.
In response, multiple police units were deployed, including K9 officers and aerial support from the Peterborough Police Service’s Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) and the OPP helicopter. Roads in the area were temporarily closed but have since reopened.
One youth is currently in custody. Police are now searching for four additional males, all believed to be under the age of 18.
