Belleville Man Charged Following Assault Involving Roommate Dispute

A 46 year old Belleville man is facing charges after an incident at a residence in the city’s east end.
According to the Belleville Police Service, officers were called to a home around 6:00 p.m. on April 19th following reports of a dispute between roommates. Police say the situation escalated, and one individual allegedly struck the other with a frying pan.
Officers attended the scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
As a result, David Richens, age 46, of Belleville, has been charged with:
• Assault
• Fail to comply with a probation order
He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in July.
