Belleville Police Respond to North Front Street Disturbance, Intoxicated Man Arrested Under Liquor Licence Act

A late-night disturbance at a North Front Street business in Belleville ended with police taking an intoxicated man into custody.
According to Belleville Police, officers were called to the business around 10:18 p.m. on March 17th after a dispute broke out over payment.
What started as a verbal argument quickly escalated into a physical confrontation before the man left the scene.
Police located the individual a short distance away and determined he was intoxicated. Officers arrested the 32-year-old Belleville man under the Liquor Licence and Control Act for being intoxicated in a public place.
He was taken into custody for his own safety.
Police did not indicate whether the individual was released following the arrest.
No injuries or names have been reported at this time.
