Belleville Teen Charged After Knife Threats Reported at East End High School

A 16-year-old Belleville youth is facing several charges after police investigated a report involving threats at an east end high school.


Belleville Police say the investigation began on April 29th after receiving a report that a male had attended the school, approached students and threatened them with a knife.


According to police, the male allegedly displayed the handle of a knife that was concealed inside a backpack.


On April 30th, as a result of the investigation, police arrested a 16-year-old Belleville male.


His identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.


The youth was charged with:

  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

  • Carrying a concealed weapon

  • Uttering threats, cause death or bodily harm

  • Assault with a weapon

  • Fail to comply with a release order

  • Fail to comply with sentence


Police say the youth was held for a bail hearing.
