BREAK AND ENTER UNDER INVESTIGATION IN PORT HOPE

The Northumberland OPP has launched an investigation after a break and enter occurred during the early morning hours of January 12, 2026, in the Municipality of Port Hope, Ontario.

Police report that the suspect gained access to the property and made off with a substantial amount of cash, along with several high-value items. Among the stolen property were a Louis Vuitton purse, a designer watch, and two vintage Canadian $100 bills, each considered unique and potentially identifiable.

Investigators believe these items may appear in local resale markets, pawn shops, or online platforms, and they are urging members of the public to remain alert.

Images related to the incident have been released by the OPP in hopes that someone may recognize the individual involved or the distinctive items taken. Officers continue to examine evidence, follow up on leads, and emphasize that community assistance can be crucial in solving cases of this nature.
