Campbellford’s Stockings for Seniors 2025: Spreading Holiday Cheer One Gift at a Time

ree

The holiday season is a time for giving, connection, and compassion.

This year, the Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), in partnership with community volunteers and local businesses, are once again hosting Campbellford’s Stockings for Seniors initiative.

This heartfelt program invites residents to help brighten the holidays for seniors by donating small, thoughtful items that will be used to fill festive Christmas stockings. Each stocking serves as a simple yet meaningful reminder that our community cares and that no one is forgotten during the holiday season.

How You Can Help

Donations can include a variety of practical or cheerful items such as:

  • Cozy socks

  • Shampoo, lotion, and personal care products

  • Magazines or puzzle books

  • Lip balm or lipstick

  • Body wash and soap

  • Costume jewelry (for women)

  • Shaving cream and razors

  • Cookies and other small treats

And of course, anything that brings comfort, joy, or a smile.

Where to Donate

Donations can be dropped off at the following Campbellford locations during regular business hours:

  • Northumberland OPP Detachment – 20 Industrial Drive

  • Stedman's V&S – 16 Front Street North

The donation deadline is December 5, 2025, giving plenty of time for community members to contribute before volunteers assemble and deliver the stockings.

A Small Gesture, a Big Impact

For many seniors, the holidays can be a difficult or lonely time. The Stockings for Seniors program, led by the Northumberland OPP with the help of generous local partners is a wonderful way to share kindness and connection, reminding our elders that they remain an important part of the community.

“Let’s come together to make this season merry and meaningful for some of the most vulnerable members of our community,” organizers said.

Every donation, no matter how small, helps make a difference, because sometimes the best gift you can give is the reminder that someone cares.

Together, we can make this holiday season a little brighter, one stocking, one smile, and one act of kindness at a time.
