Cobourg Drug Investigation Results in $40,000 Drug Seizure

One individual has been arrested and charged following the conclusion of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation in the Town of Cobourg.
On June 10th, 2026, members of the Cobourg Police Service Street Crime Enforcement Unit and Criminal Investigation Bureau, with the assistance of the Belleville Police Service Canine Unit, Uniform Patrol, and the Ontario Provincial Police Emergency Response Team, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Cobourg as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged drug trafficking in the community and surrounding areas.
The investigation reveals the potential existence of an organized drug trafficking network operating throughout the region.
Police seized approximately 68 grams of fentanyl, approximately 135 grams of cocaine, oxycodone pills, and multiple cellphones.

Police estimate the total street value of the drugs seized at approximately $40,000.
As a result of the investigation, 27-year-old Shiloh Cherebin of Brampton was arrested and charged with:
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I Substance - Fentanyl
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I Substance - Cocaine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I Substance
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
