Cobourg Man Charged After Break and Enter at Victoria Hall in Cobourg

A 22-year-old Cobourg man is facing several charges following an early morning break and enter at Victoria Hall in Cobourg.
On June 4th, 2026, at approximately 6:20 a.m., police received a report of a break and enter in progress at Victoria Hall, with the suspect reportedly still inside the building.
Officers responded immediately and located a male who had allegedly gained entry by smashing a rear window.
Following the arrest, a Scenes of Crime Officer attended the location to process the scene while officers conducted a search of the building to ensure no additional suspects were present.
As a result of the investigation, the 22-year-old Cobourg resident was charged with:
Break and Enter
Theft Under $5,000
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court at a future date.
