Belleville, ON – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are reporting a collision on Highway 401 westbound at Mitchell Road in Belleville that has resulted in the closure of the left lane.
Emergency responders are currently on the scene, and the OPP is urging drivers to exercise caution while traveling through the area. The advisory was issued via the OPP’s official X (formerly Twitter) account earlier today.
According to scanner traffic, the collision has caused significant traffic congestion, with delays stretching as far back as Wymans Road. Commuters are advised to expect delays and consider alternative routes if possible.
