Five People Charged After Reported Quinte West Home Invasion

A reported robbery inside a Quinte West residence has resulted in the arrests of five people and the seizure of a prohibited conducted energy weapon.
Quinte West OPP officers were called to the residence at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28th, following a report that a robbery was underway.
According to police, five people carrying weapons entered the home and used a conducted energy weapon to threaten those inside before taking cash.
Police arrived and arrested five suspects at the residence. During the investigation, officers recovered a prohibited conducted energy weapon and a cartridge designed for the device.
Members of the Quinte West OPP Crime Unit also assisted with the case.
