UPDATE: BRIDGE REOPENED AS OF 4:35PM
The Frankford Bridge on Frankford Road in Quinte West has been temporarily closed due to unforeseen circumstances, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.
The closure, which was announced Sunday afternoon, affects all traffic in the area. The OPP has not yet provided details regarding the cause or duration of the closure, but assured the public that updates will follow as more information becomes available.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area and plan alternate routes until the bridge can be safely reopened.
