Hate-Motivated Assault in Peterborough Leads to Charges Against Three Teens, Fourth Wanted

Three teenagers are facing charges, and a fourth is wanted, following an alleged assault in Peterborough that police say involved hate-motivated remarks.
According to Peterborough Police Service, officers were called to the area of Hilliard Street and Marina Boulevard around 12:20 p.m. on April 1st, 2026.
Police say the incident began when a parking sign was dropped onto the victim's vehicle. Shortly after, three additional teens, including one wearing a mask, reportedly exited a nearby residence, surrounded the victim, and began striking her while also making verbal threats and alleged hate-motivated comments.
The victim attended Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment.
As a result of the investigation:
A 15-year-old Peterborough male has been charged with:
Assault
Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on May 11th, 2026.
An 18-year-old Peterborough woman has been charged with:
Assault
She is scheduled to appear in court on June 23rd, 2026.
An 18-year-old Peterborough man has been charged with:
Assault
He is also scheduled to appear in court on June 23rd, 2026.
Police say a 13-year-old Peterborough male is also currently wanted in connection with the incident for assault and disguise with intent.
Investigators note this individual is the same youth previously arrested in relation to incidents on March 24th, 2026.
Police confirmed there is a hate crime element to this case, which will be addressed through the court process.
