A report of a vehicle swerving on a roadway in Belleville’s north-end has led to impaired driving charges following a police investigation on Saturday afternoon.
Belleville Police say they received the call on April 25 at approximately 4:11 p.m., after concerns were raised about a driver who appeared unable to maintain their lane.
Officers responded to the area, located the vehicle, and conducted a traffic stop a short time later.
During their interaction with the driver, officers observed signs consistent with impairment, which led to further investigation at the scene.
As a result, Gregory Landucci, a 51-year-old man from Picton, was arrested and charged with:
Operation while impaired, alcohol
Operation while impaired, blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg
He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in June.
