Investigation Leads to 7 Arrests and 54 Charges in Napanee and Whitby

A month-long investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police has led to seven arrests and 54 charges following the execution of search warrants at residences in Napanee and Whitby.


Police report that officers seized a loaded handgun and ammunition, along with a significant quantity of suspected illegal drugs and property believed to be linked to trafficking activity.

Items Seized

During the searches, officers reportedly seized:

• A loaded handgun and ammunition

• Approximately 16 grams of suspected fentanyl

• Over 1kg of suspected cocaine

• Nearly 50 oxycodone tablets

• Close to $20,000 in cash

• Approximately $40,000 worth of jewelry

• Cell phones, digital scales, and materials consistent with drug trafficking


Charges Laid

The individuals arrested are facing multiple charges, including:

• Firearms-related offences

• Possession of property obtained by crime

• Possession for the purpose of trafficking

• Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence

• Breach of other court orders


Police have not released the identities of those charged at this time.


Authorities state the investigation is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt illegal drug trafficking and remove prohibited firearms from Ontario communities.
