Kingston Police Officer Charged With Impaired Operation Following Investigation

The Kingston Police Service has issued an official media release stating that a member of their service has been charged following an investigation into allegations of impaired driving.


According to Kingston Police, the incident happened on April 26th, 2026, at approximately 8:15 p.m. in the area of Princess Street and Gardiners Road.


Police say Constable Chris Gobeil, a 27-year member of the Kingston Police, was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a conveyance and exceeding the legal blood alcohol concentration limit.


Following the arrest, Gobeil was transported to Kingston Police headquarters.


He was later released with a future court date.
