2nd Update: As of 8:27am, the disabled vehicle near 28 has been cleared.
Update: As of 7:36am a disabled vehicle has been reported near 28 also going Westbound on Highway 401 increasing congestion and delays in the area.
Drivers traveling along Highway 401 Westbound this morning should expect delays due to ongoing maintenance work between Northumberland Road 26 and Northumberland Road 26 in the Brighton area.
Highway crews have confirmed that one left lane is currently closed while maintenance is underway. The length of the closure has not yet been provided, but motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time and stay alert for workers and traffic slowdowns in the area.
Drivers are reminded to reduce speed in construction zones and follow all posted signage for the safety of both workers and other motorists.
