The test alert is set to be transmitted at 12:55 p.m. EST and will appear on television, radio, and compatible wireless devices. Authorities emphasized that no action is required by the public upon receiving the alert, as it is strictly a system test to ensure proper functionality.
The Alert Ready system is used to deliver critical emergency notifications, including alerts related to public safety threats and natural hazards.
