Serious Injuries Reported After Tent Fire in Belleville’s East End

Belleville Police are investigating after a tent fire in the city’s east end left a man with serious injuries early Tuesday morning.


According to Belleville Police, officers responded alongside Belleville Fire and EMS on May 5th at 12:56 a.m. after receiving a report of a tent fire.


When police arrived, Belleville Fire was providing medical assistance to a 53-year-old Belleville man.


He was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and was later taken to a Toronto hospital for further care.


Members of the Belleville Police Criminal Investigation Division are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fire.
