Three Arrested Following Two Drug Investigations in Belleville

Three people are facing drug-trafficking and other charges following two search warrant investigations conducted by the Belleville Police Service on July 29th, 2026.
Members of the Belleville Police Service Drugs, Intelligence and Street Crime Unit executed two search warrants under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act in the City of Belleville.
Officers were assisted by the Belleville Police K9 Unit and Emergency Response Unit.
Two GTA Men Arrested at Belleville Hotel
Police first executed a search warrant at a hotel in the Belleville area, where two men from the Greater Toronto Area were arrested without incident.
Daequane Bennett, a 20-year-old Toronto man, was charged with:
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
Proceeds of crime under $5,000
Failure to comply with a release order
Shayne Forrest, a 23-year-old Brampton man, was also charged with:
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
Proceeds of crime under $5,000
Failure to comply with a probation order
Both men were held in custody for bail hearings.
Items Seized
Police reported seizing:
$1,440 in Canadian currency
Six grams of cocaine
Three cellphones
