Three Campbellford Residents Charged After Loaded Handgun Seized During OPP Raid

Three Campbellford residents are facing multiple firearm-related charges after Ontario Provincial Police carried out a raid at a property in Trent Hills and seized a loaded handgun.
On Thursday, August 27th, members of the Peterborough/Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit, with assistance from the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit, attended a residence on Grand Road.
Police said three people fled the property on foot as officers arrived.
All three of the accused were located and arrested nearby.
During the investigation, officers also seized a loaded firearm.
The Accused & Charges
As a result of the investigation, 44-year-old David Munford of Campbellford has been charged with:
Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
Tampering with a serial number of a firearm
Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
Fail to comply with probation order - two counts
Shane McLean, 45, of Campbellford has been charged with:
Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
Tampering with a serial number of a firearm
Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
Fail to comply with probation order
Kelly Scott, 39, of Campbellford has been charged with:
Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
Tampering with a serial number of a firearm
Fail to comply with probation order
Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
All three accused were held for a court appearance in Cobourg.
Northumberland OPP said the investigation remains ongoing and officers are continuing to look for a fourth person believed to be connected to the incident.
