Tragic Outcome in Quinte West Missing Person Search

QUINTE WEST, ON (July 2, 2025) — Ontario
Provincial Police (OPP) have confirmed that the 26-year-old woman reported missing in the Bayside area of Sidney Township has been found deceased.
She was located in the Bayside quarry earlier today following a focused police search that had prompted increased presence in the area. Officers had previously advised that there was no threat to public safety as the investigation unfolded.
At 11:23 a.m., OPP issued an update announcing the discovery. In their statement, police extended their thanks to residents of the Sidney community for their cooperation during the search.
No further details are being released at this time out of respect for the family’s privacy.
