A drug trafficking investigation in Northumberland County has resulted in two individuals being charged, and the seizure of approximately $21,000 worth of suspected cocaine.
Members of the Peterborough/Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) carried out the investigation, which led officers to Cobourg on August 12th, 2026.
Arrests Made in Cobourg
Police arrested two individuals in Cobourg on August 12th. During the arrests, officers seized approximately 15 grams of suspected cocaine along with Canadian currency.
The investigation continued with officers executing a search warrant. Police say the search resulted in the seizure of several additional items, including:
Approximately 250 grams of suspected cocaine
Drug trafficking paraphernalia
Cellular phones
Additional Canadian currency
