UPDATE: THE FREEZING RAIN WARNING HAS ENDED
Good evening everyone! The Freezing Rain Warning issued today has been extended until 12:40pm Wednesday January 18th. We are also expecting large amount of fog in some areas of the province. Below you will find the updated Freezing Rain Warning issued by Environment Canada.

Freezing rain warning in effect for the following areas.
Belleville
Quinte West
Eastern Northumberland County
Bancroft
Bon Echo Park
Brockville
Leeds and Grenville
Kingston
Prince Edward
Peterborough
Kawartha Lakes
Stirling - Tweed
South Frontenac
Smiths Falls
Lanark
Sharbot Lake
Freezing rain expected late this evening and overnight. Hazard: Freezing rain. Timing: Late this evening and overnight. Discussion: A period of freezing rain is expected late this evening and overnight. Light ice accretion is possible on some surfaces. Freezing rain is expected to taper to flurries and freezing drizzle by Wednesday morning.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ONstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports using #ONStorm."
With the above Freezing Rain Warning in mind please minimize travel this evening as road crews will be out trying to prepare the roads for tomorrow morning. If you do need to go out tonight proceed with extreme caution as below zero temperatures and the rain from earlier today are likely to create icy conditions. If possible be sure to stay home. Make sure to leave extra braking distance and pay extra attention to your surroundings.
