Drug Trafficking Investigation Leads to Two Arrests in Belleville and Kingston

Two individuals are facing multiple drug trafficking charges following a police investigation that involved a traffic stop in Belleville and the execution of a search warrant in Kingston.


On March 2, 2026, officers with the Belleville Police Service Drug and Intelligence Unit, along with members of the Emergency Response Unit and K9 Unit, conducted a traffic stop in Belleville’s east end as part of an ongoing investigation.


Following the stop, officers executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence in Kingston’s west end.


During the investigation, police seized quantities of suspected fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine, along with Canadian currency believed to be proceeds of crime.


As a result of the investigation, two Kingston men were arrested and charged.


Bobby Grant, a 31-year-old Kingston resident, has been charged with:

• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl (Section 5(2) CDSA)

• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine (Section 5(2) CDSA)

• Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000 (Section 354(1)(a) Criminal Code)


Patrick Grant, a 63-year-old Kingston resident, has been charged with:

• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl (Section 5(2) CDSA)

• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine (Section 5(2) CDSA)

• Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000 (Section 354(1)(a) Criminal Code)


Police have also confirmed that Patrick Grant was wanted on two outstanding warrants originating from Peel Region and the Kingston area.


Both accused were held in custody and are scheduled to appear for bail hearings.


The investigation remains ongoing.
