Major Drug Bust in Belleville Leads to 14 Arrests

A coordinated series of drug investigations in Belleville has led to numerous arrests and the seizure of significant quantities of illegal drugs, marking a strong step forward in addressing trafficking in the community while also underscoring the ongoing concerns surrounding substance-related activity in the region.
Members of the Belleville Police Drug Unit, supported by the K9 Unit and Emergency Response Unit, executed multiple search warrants across the city over two days. The investigation began on March 31st in the city’s east end, where officers carried out a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant that resulted in three arrests.
Quentin Jackson, 20, of Woodbridge, was charged with:
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine

Heather Thomas, 40, of Belleville, was charged with:
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

Daarien Collingridge, 21, of Belleville, was charged with:

All three were released on undertakings and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
The investigation continued on April 1st, when officers executed two additional warrants in Belleville’s west end.
At the first residence, Tanya Harris, 51, of Belleville, was charged with:

Harris and Maille were held for bail hearings, while Ashley was released on an undertaking.
At a second west end location, Jason Simpson, 49, of Belleville, was charged with:

Mark Swyers, 48, of Mississauga, was charged with:

Several of the accused were held for bail hearings, while others were released on undertakings pending court appearances.
As a result of the investigations, police seized a notable quantity of drugs and cash, including 258.6 grams of methamphetamine, 25.7 grams of cocaine, 16.5 grams of fentanyl, 27 morphine pills, and $8,820 in Canadian currency.
In total, 14 individuals were arrested and charged as part of this coordinated operation.
The outcome of these investigations represents meaningful progress in disrupting the distribution of dangerous substances within the community.
The removal of drugs such as fentanyl, which continues to play a significant role in overdose-related harm, highlights the importance of continued enforcement efforts.
At the same time, the scale of the operation and the number of individuals charged serve as a reminder that drug trafficking remains an ongoing concern in Belleville and throughout the surrounding area.
