Quinte West OPP Hosting “Cram-a-Cruiser” Food Drive This Weekend

ree

The Quinte West Ontario Provincial Police are inviting the community to come together this weekend for their annual Cram-a-Cruiser event.

It's a local initiative that helps support the Trenton Food Bank and families in need as we head into the colder months.

Officers will be parked outside Metro in Trenton on Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., encouraging residents to “cram” the back of a police cruiser with non-perishable food items. The event continues on Saturday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., giving those who can’t make it Friday another chance to contribute.

Along with food donations, cash contributions will also be accepted and go directly toward helping local families who rely on the Trenton Food Bank’s services.

The Cram-a-Cruiser campaign has become a staple community event, showcasing how much of an impact small acts of kindness can make when everyone works together.

Whether it’s a few cans of soup or a small financial donation, every contribution helps fill a plate and bring relief to someone in need.

Ok honest feedback. It's like another version of the Inteligencer. Which already bored all of it's readers into downsizing. This article best suited my interests and yet.... Nothing grabs me. Also it bares repeating there are food donation bins at:

  1. Freshco 305 N Front St, Belleville, ON K8P 3C3

  2. Food basics 470 Dundas St E, Belleville, ON K8N 1G3

  3. Metro 110 Front St N, Belleville, ON K8P 5J8

This needs personality and opinion to color it. Like talk about how we have a duty to help the less fortunate. We could talk about? Rising food costs, unsustainable cultivation and even responsibilities of money managers and businesses to invest in deal in this problem. Those investments can happen via wage increases,…
