Another fire has popped up in the Eastern Ontario region. This fire is located in the South Frontenac township, just North of Kingston.
South Frontenac Fire & Rescue (SFFR) crews are currently on the scene of a large wildfire in the 1000 block of Rutledge Road.
Mutual aid was requested from Loyalist Township Emergency Services (Odessa Station) and the Stone Mills Fire Department (Yarker Station) for additional manpower and tanker support.
At 2:37 p.m., Loyalist Township Emergency Services reported they would not be responding to the Rutledge Road fire after encountering another wildfire while en route. Stone Mills crews remain committed to assisting SFFR at the original scene.
