The community of Campbellford is grieving following a tragic ATV incident that claimed the life of a 14 year old on Wednesday night. The small, close knit town, located within Trent Hills, has been left shaken by the sudden loss. Details surrounding the incident are still limited at this time. What has been shared so far is that it involved a single ATV, (all terrain vehicle), and has been described as a rollover.

On April 21st at approximately 10:39 p.m., Belleville Police responded after it was reported that two vehicles were seen switching licence plates. Officers attended the area and located both vehicles, noting that each was displaying the same plate. Police conducted traffic stops on both vehicles and, during the investigation, determined that the male driver was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle.

A 46 year old Belleville man is facing charges after an incident at a residence in the city’s east end. According to Belleville Police Service, officers were called to a home around 6:00 p.m. on April 19th following reports of a dispute between roommates. Police say the situation escalated, and one individual allegedly struck the other with a frying pan.
